The Learning Child

Social Media Intern · February 2015 - July 2016

I increased awareness of research-based information amongst childcare providers through the use of social media. In one year, TLC’s following on Twitter grew by 198%, and Facebook following grew by 50%. Impressions on posts more than doubled.

Conducted research to create a social media Playbook and best practices guidelines, led a social media boot camp for educators on how to disseminate their research using digital platforms, and managed all digital content including an email newsletter, blog, and social media.

The research I did was published on the Extension website: Social Media Toolkit for Extension Professionals. Additional research was then conducted to measure the impact of the toolkit. The results were published in the Journal of Extension: Impact of an Extension Social Media Tool Kit on Audience Engagement.
